Accidents can happen in an instant: a small stone hitting the windscreen or overlooking a post—it can happen to anyone. While this is, of course, inconvenient, Kuperus Car Rental offers you the option to significantly reduce the risk of unexpected costs with the insurance options below.

General
The insurance provided is third-party liability with comprehensive coverage (WA casco):
- Liability for material damage up to €2,500,000
- Liability for personal injury up to €7,500,000
In the event of damage to the roof above a height of 1.90 meters, a higher deductible applies:
- Up to €1,500 for private individuals
- Up to €5,000 for businesses
- Doe het zelf transport is geheel voor eigen risico.
- Voor buitenlanddekking rekenen we € 10,00 per dag inclusief BTW.
- Uw lading is niet verzekerd, hiervoor dient u zelf zorg te dragen.
- Schade ontstaan door overschrijding van het toegestane laadvermogen van de auto of maximale belasting van een hydraulische laadklep is geheel voor rekening en risico van de huurder.
- Het aantal verzekerde zitplaatsen is het wettelijke toegestane aantal zitplaatsen.
- De uitkeringen zullen worden gedaan overeenkomstig polisvoorwaarden welke op kantoor ter inzage liggen.
Insurance Options
Excess Reduction
Accidents can happen in an instant. With additional insurance, you can avoid worrying about unexpected costs.
- Passenger cars: €20 per day – reduces excess from €500 to €0
- Vans, minibuses, and wheelchair vans: €19 per day – reduces excess from €1,250 to €350
- Trucks: €20 per day – reduces excess from €1,500 to €500
- Trailers: €20 per day – reduces excess from €500 to €0
You can view the exact costs per vehicle when booking. This insurance can easily be added during the online reservation process or requested when renting a vehicle.
Personal Accident Insurance (Passengers)
You can take out personal accident insurance for €6.05 per day (including insurance tax), covering all seats in the vehicle. This insurance provides compensation in case of death or permanent disability:
- €10,000 in case of death
- €20,000 in case of permanent disability
Additional Driver
- An additional driver can be added for €3 per day (including VAT). The additional driver must meet the same requirements as the main driver (minimum of 1 year in possession of a valid Dutch driver’s license).
Windscreen & Tire Insurance (RBV)
A chipped windscreen or a flat tire can happen unexpectedly—even with a rental vehicle. Kuperus Car Rental offers additional insurance to cover windscreen and tire damage, giving you peace of mind on the road. For a small daily premium, you are fully covered, with €0 excess in case of damage.
