The deposit must be paid in advance when picking up the rental vehicle. The amount depends on the vehicle category and the length of the rental period. The minimum deposit is €450. When booking via the website, you can choose to pay with iDEAL or pay upon pickup. At the office, you can only pay by PIN or credit card. After you return the vehicle, the difference between the deposit and the rental amount will be refunded to your account within 2 working days. See the BOVAG video about identification & deposit.
